The PhD Blueprint: Medical Research Intensive
Designed for ambitious high school students interested in medicine, public health, and selective college admissions, this program pairs students with Mrudula Naidu, an NYU School of Medicine PhD candidate whose research experience spans Johns Hopkins and Harvard. Students complete an original medical or public health research project, polished final deliverable, and conference-style presentation while building the analytical and writing skills that strengthen a competitive pre-med or BS/MD profile.
- Complete an individual medical or public health research project
- Deliver a polished conference-style research presentation
- Earn Medical Research Methodology Certification
- Build practical skills in literature review, study design, data analysis, and scientific writing for advanced pre-med pathways
Weekly on Thursday, 11:00am-12:00pm PST
- Completion of one year of high school biology with a grade of B+ or higher, or current enrollment in biology
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 required
- Ability to work independently and stay on top of weekly research milestones
